DIAS Vacancy – Advocacy Caseworker
Dundee Independent Advocacy Support (DIAS)- supports individuals who face disadvantage or discrimination to have a voice that counts. DIAS is a long-standing organisation working with people within the city of Dundee who are vulnerable or marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected.
DIAS is seeking to appoint an Advocacy Caseworker for 21 hours per week. Due to the impact of Covid 19, we have had an increase in demand for advocacy support and have secured funding for an additional post until March 2023 – possible extension if further funding is secured
We are looking for a well-motivated and resilient person to join our team, to provide a range of advocacy services within the city of Dundee. Your role will be to flexibly manage a diverse caseload across different advocacy streams depending on the referrals we receive.
You will be focussed, able to work with a wide range of different people, as well as an excellent communicator. Preferably, but not essential, to have some advocacy experience, as training will be provided.
You will need to have a flexible work attitude and be able to embrace change within our dynamic organisation. You will also have strong communication and time management skills and you will need to be fully computer literate.
