Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £42,871 to £47,634


DVVA are looking for a new Deputy Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to join and assist in the strategic leadership of DVVA as a part of our Senior Management Team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the post holder will oversee the development and delivery of income generating projects including new and existing programmes. The post holder will represent DVVA on key strategic boards and strengthen and develop our partnerships throughout the 3rd sector.

The post holder will take a pro-active approach in the advising and supporting of staff in strategic decisions as well as alerting staff and trustees to potential opportunities and threats to the charity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the voluntary sector and experience of networking between organisations and sectors. It is likely that the post holder will have an established track record in a leadership role whilst maintaining a flexible approach to their work. The post holder will also be required to have a clean driving licence and or access to a car and driver.

Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action is an independent charity that aims to ensure the third sector (charities, social enterprises, community and voluntary groups etc.) is robust, resilient and delivers high quality services for the people of Dundee. We have a primary role in ensuring the continuation and development of a vibrant third sector in Dundee, and the post holder will be vital in ensuring our continuing development.
