Youth Volunteering Development Worker
Duration: Fixed term, until March 2024
Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Salary: Grade 3: £21,757 – £24,174 pro rata
(FTE 35 hours per week)
The DVVA Communities Team is looking for a Youth Volunteering Development Worker to inspire young people to get involved in volunteering, raise awareness of youth volunteering and support organisations to develop good practice in managing young volunteers.
The post holder will build on the Flashback Project, an intergenerational volunteer befriending activity based within care homes, and work with partners to diversify its volunteer-involving activities and expand it to other settings. Facilitate the Youth Volunteer Network, and recruit and implement the Youth Volunteer Ambassadors project will be another key priority for the successful candidate.
