Men Minds is a unique research project, coproduced with young men, and aimed at better understanding young men’s mental health, as well as improving mental health policy, practice and research. The project has produced learning that is relevant for a wide range of boys and young men in Scotland, but also aimed to amplify marginalised voices, including from young men who are refugees and asylum seekers, young men who are justice experienced, and young men who are LGBTQ+. The project was funded by UKRI (the Medical Research Council) and you can find out more about it here www.menminds.org
We are pleased to share the learning from this research with you across two free events aimed at anyone who works with boys and young men during adolescence and young adulthood – teachers, youth workers, social workers, justice professionals, NHS/mental health staff etc. You will have the chance to learn about the project, hear from the young men involved, and to network and connect with others so we can collectively reflect on the implications for policy and practice.
