As Video Consultations with the NHS’s Near Me reach 1 million, DVVA Technology Enabled Care Team in association with Brooksbank Centre are pleased to announce they will be making it possible for residents in the East End of Dundee to access online medical and welfare appointments, such as using the Near Me Video Consultation service, from the Centre. First appointments available are from 14th October 21.
Using Video Consultations for medical and welfare appointments can save time and travel. But not everyone has a device or the confidence digitally to try it. By making an appointment at Brooksbank you will have a device to use, with internet connected and a private space for you to hold your consultation. A volunteer will also be on hand for advice and assistance.
This service is for medical and welfare online appointments and related services. So this also includes appointments with a Benefits Advisor where available and accessing Benefits accounts.
The appointments will make it easier for local residents who have difficulty attending a surgery, clinic or community based services in person or who don’t have access to Wi-Fi or mobile broadband. We anticipate that this service will help older people, those with disabilities and low income households. If you know someone who would benefit from this service, please let them know.
