An online workshop for Dundee’s third sector

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming part of everyday life, but what does that mean for community organisations, charities, and grassroots groups?
Join us for an accessible, practical workshop designed to introduce community organisations to the opportunities, challenges, and real‑world uses of AI in the third sector. Delivered in partnership with Dundee City Council and Dundee Volunteer & Voluntary Action (DVVA), this session will help you build confidence, understand the basics, and explore how AI can support your work in practical and meaningful ways.
We’re delighted to welcome Ian McLintock of Charity Excellence who will show us how to make the most of AI in everyday community work, from helping with funding bids, to improving communication, and enhancing support for the people you work with.
This workshop will cover:
- Practical ways community groups can use AI
- Opportunities for improving efficiency, engagement and impact
- Ethical considerations and responsible use
- Real examples relevant to third sector organisations
Who is it for?
This session is ideal for community groups, charities, social enterprises, volunteers, and support organisations who are curious about AI but unsure where to start. No technical knowledge required.
