Help shape the future of healthcare in Scotland
The NHS is working with Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research programme, to find new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases.
In the past, health research hasn’t always included everyone. People who don’t live close to major cities, minority ethnic groups, and people with lower incomes have often been under-represented. This means that medical advances made from some health research may not benefit everyone equally.
Our Future Health is changing this. They’re bringing clinics directly to people across Scotland, to make sure new discoveries in healthcare benefit everyone. Volunteers share information about their health and lifestyle, helping researchers to better understand how diseases develop and how the NHS can treat them. By travelling across Scotland, these new clinics will ensure that people don’t need to travel far to attend an appointment – making it easier for communities across the nation to take part. It means researchers will be able to identify differences in how diseases begin and progress in people from different backgrounds in Scotland – so we can make discoveries that benefit everyone.
Our Future Health has clinics coming to Dundee and surrounding areas:
- Asda Dundee Milton (DD4 7RX) from 28 August – 15 September 2026
- Tesco Arbroath Superstore (DD11 3BQ) from 4 September – 21 September 2026
- Asda Perth Superstore (PH1 5AP) from 18 September – 5 October 2026
- Asda Forfar Superstore (DD8 2AE) from 22 September – 9 October 2026
- Boots Dundee High Street (DD1 1UL) Opening 14 October 2026
