Volunteer Driver with Weekday WOW Factor

Help people get out, connect, and enjoy life again.

Weekday WOW Factor is a community initiative that creates fun, inclusive social experiences—often themed events like daytime discos and group activities—designed primarily for older adults and people who may be at risk of isolation. The organisation focuses on bringing people together in a safe, welcoming environment where they can build friendships, stay active, and enjoy meaningful social interaction. By combining accessible venues, supportive staff and volunteers, and organised transport, Weekday WOW Factor helps remove barriers to participation and ensures more people can stay connected to their community.

Do you enjoy driving and meeting new people? As a Volunteer Driver with Weekday WOW Factor, you’ll play a vital role in helping older adults and community members get to social activities that bring joy, connection, and purpose to their week. For many of the people they support, attending these sessions wouldn’t be possible without reliable transport. That’s where you come in—helping to create a safe, welcoming journey that’s just as important as the destination.

What you’ll do

  • Safely transport participants to and from WOW Factor events in Angus
  • Support a friendly, inclusive atmosphere from pick-up to drop-off
  • Work as part of a coordinated team of drivers and staff
  • Follow agreed schedules and routes to ensure smooth running of activities

Support to the Volunteer

Volunteers will receive an induction, clear guidance, and ongoing support from a coordinator. You’ll have access to schedules in advance, support from staff and fellow volunteers, and any required training or checks to help you feel confident in the role.
