Ever heard about restorative justice or restorative practice and been curious to learn more? This one-day workshop is designed for people interested in restorative practice whether service managers, team leaders or workers. This workshop introduces delegates to the concept and some of the principles of restorative practice, outlining some of the aspects and skills learnt from the Centre’s six-day Restorative Skills course, approved by the Restorative Justice Council.
The workshop provides learners with an understanding of:
- The effects of conflict
- How conflict develops
- Formal and informal conflict resolution
- Benefits of either mediation or restorative practice
- The Restorative process
- Restorative skills required of a facilitator
- An outline of the restorative meeting
- Restorative practice applications
This is an interactive course, led by experienced trainers providing a safe learning environment.
