Violence Against Women Overview Training – 6th & 8th October 2026
Spaces are available for our two-day in person Dundee Protecting People Violence Against Women Overview Training. It is open to anyone in the Dundee workforce. The sessions will cover the following:
- understanding the link between gender inequality and violence against women and girls (VAWG)
- different forms of VAWG, including street harassment, sexual violence, human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, domestic abuse and harmful practices,
- local and national support organisations for VAWG,
- increasing confidence and basic skills for dealing with disclosure,
- understanding the barriers women face to accessing services,
- provide information on some tools and approaches which can be used to support women impacted by violence against women and girls, and
- understanding of good practice principles when dealing with perpetrators.
