Sounds Good Scotland CIC are holding a special pilot evening ‘The heART of Sound’ in the McManus museum on the 5th October – An after-hours sound and art experience in the Victoria Gallery, inviting rest, reflection, connection and a new way to meet the art.
We’ll begin with a gentle guided practice to help you slow down and experience the gallery through your senses, noticing what you can see, hear and feel and which artwork draws your attention. Then settle onto a yoga mat, sit comfortably on a chair, or move gently and quietly in the space as instruments, voice, silence, art and space come together around you.
We’ll finish with time to draw, reflect or share if you wish. As this is a pilot, participants will also be asked to complete a short feedback form to help shape future community experiences.
Whether you love art, are curious about sound, have wondered what all the fuss is about, or have never visited The McManus before, you are warmly welcome.
