Join the Dundee Volunteer Coordinators Network
DVVA facilitates the Volunteer Coordinators Network. This Network is for anyone whose role covers volunteer coordination and meetings place every 2 months. It works as an open peer support forum to discuss issues affecting volunteering in Dundee and identify collaborative opportunities to strengthen the capacity of volunteer-involving organisations in Dundee.
The purpose of the Volunteer Coordinator’s Network is:
· – to create an open space for volunteer coordinators to discuss issues relating to volunteering
· – to share information on available learning, training or upskilling events for volunteer coordinators and/or volunteers
· – to share accurate and current information/resources on best practice in volunteering
· – to contribute to measuring the impact of volunteering in Dundee
· – to provide a time and space for connecting, networking, and learning from other members
· – to support collaborative working and foster connections
Network members have the opportunity to join learning bites (up to 90 minutes training session) in subjects relating to volunteer management – the new programme starts on 01 May and will cover topics such as:
· Celebrating volunteers
· Developing expectations and boundaries
· Assessing the impact of your volunteering programme
· Developing a volunteer policy/volunteer agreement/role description

Membership is free and open to all voluntary organisations and community groups in Dundee, new, emerging or well-established.
