🌱 Explore the Dundee Climate Week programme

The Sustainable Dundee Network has put together a programme of free events and activities taking place across Dundee throughout Climate Week.

There is something for different interests and ages, including community activities, workshops, talks, film screenings, cycling, gardening, food, reuse and opportunities to learn more about climate action in Dundee.

Highlights include:

• Campy Growers – a celebration of growing, food and community at Camperdown Country Park
• CirculariTAY Launch Event – bringing businesses, public sector, academia and communities together to explore a more circular future for Tayside
• The Roundhouse – a community café learning programme exploring food surplus and redistribution
• Dundee Civic Trust – a workshop exploring housing improvements and making homes more comfortable in hot and cold weather
• Dundee Rep – climate café, reuse and repurposing activities, a talk on data centres and a Climate Crisis Wish Tree
• Abertay University – a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by a panel discussion
• Dundee Cycling Hub – free access to the Bike Skills Park
• Dundee Science Centre – a hands-on session making seed bombs and learning about herb gardens
• The MaxWell Centre – a range of outdoor activities at Maxwell Garden and Hilltown Park
• The Wardrobe – Late night shopping with upcycling activities and a 50% off sale
• People Planet Pint – A climate, sustainability and local action themed pub quiz
• V&A – Streets ahead exhibition

🏙️ Discover climate action happening across Dundee

Throughout Climate Week, Dundee City Council will also be sharing stories about climate action taking place across the city. Keep an eye on Dundee City Council’s social media channels for a series of short reels showcasing local projects and the people helping to make Dundee more sustainable.

The reels will highlight projects and activity across areas including greenspace and biodiversity, sustainable drainage and flood resilience, electric vehicle infrastructure, active travel, Urban ReLeaf and more.

💧 Get involved with Dundee City Council

Council staff will also have opportunities to find out more about climate action and practical things we can all do at home and at work. They’ll be at:

• Dundee House reception – Monday 28 September | 10am-2pm
• Claverhouse reception – Wednesday 30 September | 10am-12pm

Come along to their Climate Week information stall to chat with the Sustainability & Climate Team and partners, find out more about local projects and discover practical actions you can take.

Home Energy Scotland will also be joining to provide advice on improving energy and water efficiency, including free water-saving devices and information about available support and grants.

Climate action doesn’t have to mean making big changes all at once. There are lots of practical things we can do in our everyday lives – from saving energy and water and reducing waste, to choosing more sustainable ways to travel, supporting nature and making more sustainable food choices.

Visit Sustainable Dundee for practical ideas and resources covering energy and heating, transport, food, water, waste, nature and gardening, sustainable lifestyles and home retrofitting.

You can also explore the Sustainable Dundee Map to discover local projects and initiatives taking action on sustainability across Dundee, as well as case studies showing how Dundee City Council and its partners are responding to the climate emergency.

Whether you attend an event, discover a local project, try a new action at home or simply learn something new, there are lots of ways to be part of Dundee Climate Week 2026.
