The online volunteer recruitment and communication platform Go Volunteer Dundee continues to grow, with 16 organisations registered to promote their opportunities and share training. There are now 109 users who have signed up for accounts on the site which allow them to browse current opportunities, connect with organisations and access any of the 15 different free training resources. These have all been collated and saved in one place for easy access.
Just now there are 19 different volunteering roles, from a maintenance volunteer to a trustee member.
The Dundee Volunteer Passport has been created to improve the volunteer journey, giving volunteers a way of evidencing their skills, experience and reflect back on learning as well as recording hours and saving training.
The platform and passport have both been funded through the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund and are available to children and families services that run volunteering programmes.
We are extending our reach now, and want to meet with services where they run specific programmes/projects for children and families, as this could be a benefit for your current volunteers and boost your volunteering programme.
