SWAP Access Programme Applications are open for 2025/26
Applications are now open for next year’s SWAP East Access Programmes.
These one-year programmes are for adult returners to education, and can help people with few, no, or out-dated qualifications move onto to Higher Education in just one year.
What can people study?
We run access programmes in:
- Nursing (online programme available)
- Allied Health Professions (online programme available)
- Life Sciences (online programme available)
- Physical Science
- Engineering
- Humanities (online programme available)
- Social Science & Languages
- Medical Studies
This range of programmes allows progression onto around 1,000 university degree courses.

Combined with the online options for many of our programmes, we’re able to reach more adults who need these access courses than ever before and we’re really excited about this.

How can people apply?
They can apply directly through the college’s website. Applications will remain open either until the beginning of the course in August 2025 or places are filled, whichever is sooner.
