A researcher from the University of Stirling is recruiting participants for a study about autistic trans experiences of support and support services. This includes all experiences of support services: from attempting access, to engaging as a service-user, to working within or with support services.
The study focuses on what support is like now and how it could be better in the future. It is part of a larger project which looks at how autistic trans people are spoken about in policy and what an ideal (or ‘utopian’) future could look like.
At this stage, the researcher is specifically looking to hear from autistic trans people who have worked within support services (e.g. social workers, voluntary workers, health workers, care workers, students on placement).
Participants must be:
• Trans (including non-binary genders)
• Autistic (with or without diagnosis; with or without other neurodivergences)
• Living in the United Kingdom, and
• Aged 18 or over
Taking part would involve a creative task in your own time followed by a 1hr online or in-person interview. All participants will receive a £50 voucher as a thank you for the time taken and knowledge contributed to the project.
