Free wildflower seed starter packs from the Eden Project

Scots Bee Friendly to Help Out Nature

With just two weeks until The Big Help Out, people across Scotland are being encouraged to Bee Friendly and do something simple but powerful for nature: sowing seeds of friendship and give local wildlife a lift.

To help everyone get started, environmental charity Eden Project is giving away 100 wildflower seed starter packs, offering an easy way for individuals, neighbours and community groups to take part.

Whether it’s a pot on a windowsill, a corner of a close, a coastal clean-up or shared community space we can all lean in and help out Scottish wildlife to thrive.

Taking part doesn’t need to be complicated says Grainne McCloskey Eden Project Scotland manager. She said “From 5–8 June, The Big Lunch and The Big Help Out are coming together for one big do – helping people connect, share food and lend a hand locally.

“It’s a simple, flexible opportunity for neighbours, organisations, businesses and charities to strengthen community connections and encourage social action.

“Nature plays a huge part in our community wellbeing so as an environmental charity we thought why not help out  nature  when we are all getting together for our community celebrations. The Big Help Out is all about people coming together to do something positive, and planting for pollinators is a lovely way to start.”

With free seeds available and plenty of ideas at thebigdo.com, people across Scotland are invited to give nature a helping hand.

To find out more and receive a packet of seeds register your details here at thebigdo.com and email gmccloskey@edenproject.com with SEEDS as the subject.
