Domestic Abuse Risk Management and MARAC Workshop February – August 2026
Since 2018, Dundee City has had the highest level of domestic abuse incidents recorded by police in Scotland at 180 per 10,000 people and compared to the Scottish average at 114 per 10,000 people. With that in mind, domestic abuse risk management and the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) is vital for reducing dangers to victim/survivors of domestic abuse, where you will learn more about this in this workshop. **Please note that this workshop is similar to the Domestic Abuse Risk Management in Young People’s Relationship Workshop in terms of the MARAC processes. This workshop will give more focus to adults in relation to navigating risk and the live risk assessment will be done through an adult perspective; however you are welcome to attend both.**
Please see here the dates and times of the in person workshops we’ll be running until August 2026. The sessions will be capped at 15 and will be held in person. We may audit the list of attendees to ensure that a mix of people from different organisations and job roles attend. Venue details and other information will be sent to you by email nearer the time.

If you would like the workshops delivered to specific teams/your organisation of at least 10 people or if you require further information, then please contact [krysta.stoneley@dundeeassist.co.uk].
Ideally, you’ll have undertaken learning on gender inequality and domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women. If you would like to learn more about this before attending the workshop please see:
- The Violence Against Women Overview Training register of interest booking form https://forms.office.com/e/4ZBpX0MW3q
- The Equally Safe in Practice e-learning modules on gender equality, domestic abuse and sexual violence. Please visit: https://onedundee.dundeecity.gov.uk/protecting-people/resources/e-learning, then under ‘violence against women’ click on the ‘understanding domestic abuse’ link and it’ll take you to a registration page to then access the module. I would recommend the ‘together for gender equality’ and ‘understanding sexual violence’ modules too as it is not uncommon that domestic abuse goes hand in hand with sexual violence with the cause and consequence of this being gender inequality
