Dundee Cinéma les Auteurs – a brand new local film showcase for all Dundonians.

Dundee Cinéma les Auteurs is a brand new local film showcase for all Dundonians. Presented by the Dundee-based Gomni Productions, which has a history of community-based, not-for-profit productions, this is a free local film festival dedicated to celebrating the incredible creative talent right here in Dundee, Scotland.

  • Theme – Local made films from Dundee, Scotland, big or small.
  • Duration – 3 days with at least 3 shows per day of a couple of hrs each. Showcasing a variety of films.
  • Venue – The Vine Presented by Gomni Productions Dundee, Cinéma les Auteurs
  • Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June

The festival is designed for local people to support our community and nurture nascent talents. We hope to support existing filmmakers and inspire the next generation of observers and storytellers. By focusing clearly on Dundonian culture, art, and artists, we seek to help elevate the local artistic community.

“As a proud Dundonian, I’ve always been aware of incredible creative talent in our city, but the arts are not an easy path. Dundee Cinéma les Auteurs, by showcasing and celebrating local filmmakers, actors and writers, is the kind of initiative that Dundee’s talent can benefit from and I’m all for it.” – Brian Cox

All running expenses, including promotion, are being met by Gomni Productions, ensuring the event remains free for all who wish to attend. The festival is planned as a unique 3-day event.

We believe that this free community event, focused on showcasing and supporting local arts and talent, aligns well with the goals of supporting and enriching the Dundee community. We would be incredibly grateful if you would consider sharing information about Dundee Cinéma les Auteurs across your networks to help us reach as many Dundonians as possible who might benefit from or enjoy this initiative. Promoting access to free cultural events and celebrating local creativity is a significant benefit to the community.
