DVVA Update: Statement from Martin Manzi, Chair of the Board of Trustees

Following the retirement of Chief Executive Officer Eric Knox, the Board of Trustees of DVVA are delighted to announce that Christina Cooper, Head of Service, will be stepping up to the role of Interim Chief Executive for up to a six-month period.  We welcome Christina into her new role and look forward to her leadership during what will be a very busy and exciting period for DVVA.

The process to recruit a permanent Chief Executive is at an early stage and the Board anticipates that this will be completed over the next few months.

The Board would also like to publicly acknowledge the significant contribution Eric has made to Volunteer Dundee, and latterly Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action since the merger of the two charities in 2019.

Eric has overseen a successful bringing together of the two organisations and has led DVVA though the pandemic with great skill and commitment. He will be missed by all at DVVA and in the wider third sector community. We wish Eric and his family all that is good in his retirement and in his future endeavours.
