Make May Purple this Stroke Awareness Month

This Stroke Awareness Month, the Stroke Association is asking for help to raise awareness of the impact of stroke and Make May Purple.

Every year, more than 10,000 Scottish residents have a stroke and around 150,000 Scots are living with the impact of the condition. It is estimated that half of Scottish adults have a close personal connection to stroke, either having had one themselves or seen family or friends affected. You can get involved by downloading Resources for Stroke Awareness Month | Stroke Association including:

  • The information booklet for help and advice on planning and hosting a Make May Purple event.
  • A Make May Purple poster to show you support the Stroke Association this Stroke Awareness Month.
  • Make May Purple images to share on social media, using #StrokeAwarenessMonth.

The Stroke Association is Scotland’s leading stroke-specific charity providing lifelong support for stroke survivors of all ages and their families. Find out more at Scotland | Stroke Association
