Online Training: supporting workers to manage disclosures of selling or exchanging sex

To increase the skills and confidence of workers in managing disclosures of selling or exchanging sex, CSE Aware is offering a free online training session for frontline practitioners on Wednesday, September 24, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, via Teams.

If you have supported women suspected of selling or exchanging sex but are uncertain about how to start the conversation or what steps to take after someone discloses involvement, this session is for you.

This training will explore the following aspects:

  • Barriers and motivators related to women’s disclosures of selling or exchanging sex
  • Challenges faced by workers in facilitating these disclosures
  • Key considerations for managing disclosures.

What types of boundaries do women selling sex establish? What challenges do they encounter in trying to maintain these boundaries? What actions might sex buyers take to override these boundaries? We will explore these questions and more in the second webinar of the “Lifting the Curtain: Consent in the Sex Industry” series.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM via Zoom.
