Referral to the pilot of the Discover Together programme is now open

Referral to the pilot of the Discover Together programme is now open. See poster below.

Discover Together is a programme to support parents into employment through a six-month paid role within NHS Tayside. Successful customers will be trained and placed in a non-clinical position at Band 2 (£12.72 per hour). These positions will be supplementary, so customers can learn while they work and can be supported into flexible employment to balance work and family commitments.

Customers will be supported with Better Off in Work calculations, a two-week training offer including certified learning, and six months’ guaranteed interviews with the NHS upon completion of the placement.

Referral to Discover Together is open to any parent who lives in or near Dundee, is out of work OR underemployed. Customers must be aged 18+, have the right to live and work in the UK, and be ready for PVG check by NHS. We ask that all customers are registered by an Employability Provider funded by Discover Work to ensure they are fully supported. Any customers not yet registered will be supported to register before referral is complete.

Please note that the spaces on this programme are limited so places for the Taster and Interview Day will be allocated on first-come first-served basis depending on suitability of the programme for the customer’s needs.
