Public Engagement Fund launched to support community engagement with data
Do you want to find ways to engage your community about data? Throughout our lives, data is collected about us by public sector organisations and services. For example, the NHS collects information about our health and wellbeing, and schools collect exam results. This data can be de-identified and used in research.
Research Data Scotland (RDS) feel it’s vital that the public are engaged and involved with how their data is used in research. To support this, they have launched a Public Engagement Fund, with a portion of the total fund ringfenced to fund a community group. We’re inviting community groups to apply for funding between £1,000 to £10,000 to help them engage their community with data. The project will be further supported through assistance and guidance from RDS public engagement professionals.
Applications are now open and close at 5pm, 14th October. If you’re interested, you can find out more information and apply below.
