Sandyford Adult Gender Service in Glasgow waiting list

Sandyford Adult Gender Service in Glasgow is carrying out an exercise where they get in touch with everyone on their waiting list, and Scottish Trans (a charity working to improve trans equality, human rights and inclusion) are asking for help to spread the message to the trans community in Scotland.
What’s happening?
From April 20th – 1st June, Sandyford is contacting everyone on their Adult Gender Services waiting list via text, email or letter to check the details they have for them are correct and to ask if they still want to be on the list. Sandyford is the Gender Identity Clinic in Glasgow, but its catchment area covers around half of Scotland’s population, so it’s important that we make sure trans people across the country know about this. More info about the exercise can be found on Sandyford’s website here.
What do people on the waiting list need to do?
When Sandyford does get in touch, those on the waiting list need to respond to the questionnaire confirming their contact details and whether they would still like to be on the waiting list or not within 14 days. Until Sandyford gets in touch, people on the waiting list don’t need to do anything. If they haven’t heard from Sandyford by 1st June 2026, then they should get in touch here.
It’s possible that Sandyford may remove people from the waiting list if they don’t hear back from them after several attempts, so it’s really important that trans people know that this is happening.
