Scotland’s Climate Change Plan — real benefits for everyone
The draft Climate Change Plan (2026–2040) is Scotland’s roadmap to net zero, setting out policies across transport, energy, agriculture, and housing.
It’s not just about cutting emissions – it’s about creating opportunities:
- Economy: a growing green economy, supporting jobs and investment.
- Communities: lower energy bills, cleaner air, and better transport links.
- Environment: protected landscapes, cleaner rivers, and greener spaces.
Scotland is already making progress – over 91% of our electricity comes from low-carbon sources, and we’re investing billions in public transport and woodland creation.
