SWAN (Scottish Women’s Autism Network) is an autistic-led charity delivering services, information and support for and by autistic women and non-binary people across Scotland since 2012. One of the services we offer at SWAN are Wellbeing Walks, which are guided social walks for (self or clinically diagnosed) autistic women and non-binary people who are 18 years of age or older. Our walks are led by autistic volunteers who have been trained by Walking Scotland, and we host walks across Scotland.
Our walks offer a supportive and inclusive environment for autistic women and non-binary people. Beyond improving physical wellbeing, these walks provide an opportunity for socialisation and peer support. The walks are around an hour long at an easy social pace and are perfect for autistic individuals who would like to become more active in the company of other autistic people.
Their walks will soon be operating in Tayside.
The Wellbeing Walks are free events, but interested attendees must book a ticket through our Eventbrite page.
