This is your opportunity to learn more about Social Security Scotland, the benefits we deliver and how we’re trying to tackle the stigma associated with applying for payments.
What is the Tackling Stigma Campaign?
- This campaign aims to challenge the psychological and societal barriers people face when applying for payments and encourage eligible people to apply.
Who is this event for?
- Professionals who support individuals who are eligible for/in receipt of benefits. This includes Communications, Policy and Campaigns roles who can help amplify our message. Please share with your colleagues and wider network who you think would benefit from attending.
Tell me more about the event!
- We will be joined by a selection of guest speakers who will explain who Social Security Scotland is, what we do, the payments we deliver and how you can get involved with the campaign.
How else can I get involved?
- We’d love to work with organisations to feature stories from real people to help break down barriers. The voices of third sector organisations and real people stories are essential in reaching communities and help to reinforce that social security is something anyone may need at any point in their life.
Additionally, our Partnership and Events team are keen to get out into the community to promote this campaign. If you are running an event that would suit for us to come along to, please let us know!
