We are seeking a youth worker to support young people in reaching their full potential through sports and physical activity.
The successful candidate will lead our brand-new Stretch project, which utilises youth work approaches to reinterpret and promote sports and physical activity among young people.
Many young people miss out on the multiple benefits of regular physical activity. Some tell us they were put off at school by narrow expectations, competitive/bullying culture. Some feel excluded culturally by gender, identity, or “not sporty”; some can’t afford it; some have nowhere to try things out safely or with dignity.
You will work across three project strands (Inclusive Sports, Mental Health and Wellbeing; Games Get Real) through drop-in youth work, small groups, and individual support.
