Whitfield Hub Co-ordinator

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week (Fixed term for 12 months in the first instance)

Salary: £27,278 – £30,309

DVVA are looking for a passionate and committed individual to support the development of our Community Hub in Whitfield. The Hub works within the local community to identify needs and provide or support access to relevant services, working in conjunction with Dundee City Council, Dundee Alcohol and Drugs Partnership and other key stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone to take a lead in role in developing the Hub, establishing and working in partnership with a Hub Steering and User Involvement group, particularly around developing environmentally friendly approaches. You will have knowledge of the local community and the issues affecting people within this and you’ll be committed to working with the community to address these issues. Ideally, you’ll have a qualification in Community Learning and Development, Social Work or a related area, or bring significant experience from previous community work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will ensure that you can connect effectively with a variety of stakeholders and establish networks to support the work of the Hub.
