We are looking for someone that can commit to at least 4 hours per week, although we can be flexible to accommodate the needs of volunteers. The Circle is a hub for charities, social enterprises, commercial organisations, creatives, community groups, individuals, and socially aware businesses. We provide affordable office and community spaces, as well as meeting and event spaces. We also offer consultancy and business support to those starting and growing their businesses. We provide advice, support and training in all areas, including: accessing funding, developing an entrepreneurial mindset, governance, and strategic planning. After you apply, we will have an in-person or a telephone call to find out how we can make this opportunity suit you best and ensure that we both will get the most out of your time with us. Once you have applied for the opportunity, you will be contacted within 5 working days and invited to attend an informal chat where you will have the opportunity to find out more about the role and the organisation. If you have not heard anything within this time please contact the Volunteer Coordinator directly on charli@thecirclecic.org.uk.

  • Swim Teacher Assistant

    Leisure and Culture Dundee

    Administration, Sport / Outdoor Activities

There are many and varied reasons that volunteers are an asset to the aquatics programme and we aim to make it as inclusive as possible. Many children with additional support needs can cope with mainstream swimming lessons with additional support, either in-water or on poolside. Disability swim classes benefit from extra support and a volunteer can make a great difference to the progress these children can make. Some children, particularly pre-school children, have never been in a swimming pool and volunteers can make a huge difference by helping alleviate their fears.
